Kathryn struggled not to squirm, but looking into his eyes filled her body with such heat it was all she could do to keep from gasping.
“So why don’t you tell me what’s really going on?” he asked. “The two of you looked like you were cooking up a plan.”
Kathryn sighed, unwilling to continue the standoff. ‘If you really have to know, I was confiding in Sandra. Sometimes I need a friend, someone I can talk to, and she’s been wonderful to me.”
